3x3 RPG is the d20 RPG ruleset that fits in your wallet.
You only need the main ruleset card and a d20 to play.Play while you're waiting for food or before an appointment.
All the other cards are optional. Where rules are unclear, you're encouraged to pick whatever is most fun.
It was made with solo play in mind first and foremost but a GM and other players could easily be added.
The main ruleset card includes rules for character creation, player actions, and combat as well as an inspiration table and optional mechanics to spark ideas on the back. The inspiration table was designed to be as setting/genre agnostic as possible.
The character sheet card gives a little space to sketch out the basics of your character and keep track of items and adventures.
The session card outlines a structure for an adventure, allowing for quick play.
The hexcrawl card allows for simple land exploration and generation on the fly.
Printing Instructions
For business card size, print actual size. If you have difficulty, open and print from a non-Chrome browser.
For index card size, print at 135%.
For large print, print landscape and fit to printable area.
FAQ
What is a contested roll?
It's when you roll for the player character and the NPC. The higher of the two rolls wins that particular interaction.
When I roll on the Oracle for PC actions, what counts as a success?
No's are failures and Yeses are successes. Don't forget to add your stat if it's relevant.
I'm not sure what to do for Powers/Skills...
Roll on the inspiration table for ideas. Take 2-3 words from the inspiration table and make it one Power/Skill. Autosuccess just means, you are assumed to have succeeded had you rolled for it. So you can also base this on what your PC is good at. Can be combat related or non-combat related. Ideally, you'd have a mix of both.
This is so bare bones, I'm not sure how to get started...
